Nets provided to Kenyan orphanage

Kairos recently had the opportunity to send nets to Ebenezer children's home orphanage in Kenya. K10 was made aware of the needs of the children's home through Rudy Devink of Brugge, Belgium. Rudy delivered the nets to the orphanage director, Bishop Winnie Owiti (pictured). Also pictured is Director Owiti hanging the net over a child's bed.
Thanks to the generosity of those who purchase K10 Jewelry lives of children in Kenya will be saved.

17,000 nets and January trip

As of January 1, 2013, Kairos 10 has hit 17,000 nets in sales and donations.  2012 was a remarkable year.  In January K10 was the featured non-profit at Arise Ministries' leadership conference, Ignite.  This fall, K10 partnered with Jenks West Intermediate teachers and students for the "Fight the Bite" campaign and netted over 8 villages.  A well will be dedicated in honor of the school's efforts.

In August founders Katheryn and Charles Pennington and Phyllis Morris traveled to Ghana and dedicated a medical clinic in the bush village of Noka with running water and a freshly dug water well.  The local Ghanaian media covered the event and Phyllis Morris spoke on behalf of K10.

In September K10 participated in "Brush Creek Bazaar" in Tulsa, benefiting Teen Challenge of Oklahoma.  In November, KTUL interviewed Phyllis Morris about K10 participation in the three-day event "Affair of the Heart of Tulsa".

K10 cannot thank our volunteers and supporters enough for an incredible year.  A beading and medical trip is scheduled to Accra, Ghana and surrounding bush villages from January 24-31.  Please check the blog for updates and the latest news from our beading team in Ghana!

Blessings from the K10 team for 2013!
